In support of fostering business relations between Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB)/Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) and large firms, the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization’s Direct Access Program will host a Large Business Engagement.
This one-day event consists of a series of 20-minute one-on-one sessions and will provide SDVOSBs and VOSBs the opportunity to learn about current and upcoming business opportunities available with large businesses.
Please review the information for each company carefully, as each company has specific requirements.
The large company participants for this engagement include:
3M is an innovative company consisting of four core business groups:
• Health Care. This group spans the continuum of care and includes medical solutions, oral care, separation and purification sciences, health information systems, drug delivery systems, and food safety.
• Safety & Industrial. This business group serves the industrial, electrical and safety markets. It consists of personal safety, adhesives and tapes, abrasives, closure and masking systems, electrical markets, automotive aftermarket, and roofing granules.
• Transportation & Electronics. This group focuses on transportation and electronic original equipment manufacturer customers. This group is made up of electronics (display materials and systems, electronic materials solutions), automotive and aerospace, commercial solutions, advanced materials, and transportation safety.
• Consumer. This business group consists of home improvement, stationery and office supplies, home care, and consumer health care.
3M endeavors to build relationships related, first, to its Health Care business group, and second, relationships related to its other three core business groups, classified as: Safety & Industrial, Transportation & Electronics and Consumer.
The Health Care business group seeks to increase its sub-contracting relationships with Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSBs) and Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSBs), possessing the following NAICS: 334510, 339112, 339113, 339114, 423450, 532490, 622110, 518210, 541511, 541512, 561210, 624230.
The Safety and Industrial, Transportation and Electronics, and Consumer Business Groups, each seek to cultivate relationships with small businesses designated as: SDVOSB or VOSB, Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone); and Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), with a particular interest of increasing sourcing opportunities for the following product categories: Assembly, Packaging & Filling Goods & Services, Capital Equipment and Construction, Chemicals, Cloth & Fibers, Converting, Tape & Abrasives G&S, Electronics & Metals, Energy, Fleet & Travel, IT, Logistics, Molding Goods & Services, MRO/Site Services, Packaging, Papers, Polymers, Professional Services Human Resources, R&D & Legal, and Professional Services Marketing & Finance.

Once you have completed your profile and have requested a meeting, the large business host will review your request on the basis of how your businesses’ capabilities match their company’s requirements. Please note that the acceptance of a meeting request is at the sole discretion of each large business, and that you will be notified if your request(s) to meet with a large business is accepted. If you do not receive a notification that your meeting request has been accepted, please do not make travel arrangements or plan to attend the event.

American Medical Depot (AMD) is a Medical Supply Distribution Center and a Prime Vendor (VA MSPV-NG) for VISNS 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 8. Additionally, AMD is a contractor on the Defense Logistics Agency Integrated Operating Room Contract (DLA IOR) which provides turn-key services for the integration of equipment of specific manufacturers under the earlier mentioned $400M contract. American Medical Depot (AMD), a Medical Supply Distribution Center and a Prime Vendor (VA MSPV-NG) for VISNS 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 8, has an interest to meet SDVOSB and VOSB transportation companies, with transportation assets, to supplement their transportation contract. The opportunity entails handling deliveries for a segment of its customers.
